Well, it's been a pretty poor summer down here weather wise in Greenwich... It started ok with a scorching start in May then petered out into a wet plithy mess for the rest of it. You could say it's been a classic english summer in that respect...
On a positive note it's been a fantastic summer for the store with new staff arriving, blistering window installations and some brilliant new brands for you.
The Meet Bernard family has been growing, we've been joined by Dominic Ellett who we headhunted (pinched?) from Levis to bring some fresh energy into our menswear department. Dominic brings with him a huge wealth of denim knowledge and we'll be shaping a new look denim department around him, more on that to follow.
New members of the Bernard team also include Amy our new womenswear Sales Associate, she's a fashion graduate who loves whippets and beards. The delightful Dario has also joined our menswear department alongside Dominic, Dario is a writer amongst other creative talents, he's going to be writing some articles for us which we're really looking forward to.
We had a brilliant window installation, did you see? Macrame mayhem took over courtesy of the talented Katie Mitchell who has a wonderful local craft business making plant hangers, wall hangings and bunting. Check out her website here.
Brand wise we picked up an excellent new leather wallet brand which are designed and handmade right here in old London town by Wingback. Leon and Harper joined which is a cool little French brand we picked up and Emily Kidson who is a local Forest Hill based Jewellery maker, Have a look. Kings of Indigo denim made an appearance on our shop floor also which is a well established denim brand from Holland. Do pop in then and have a look we've so much to show you.
Hope to see you soon.
